Juvenile Justice Advocates International showed the results of the pilot entitled: “Supervision of measures in freedom for adolescents in conflict with the law”, in the Superior Court of Justice of Chihuahua.
At the event, it was explained that the tool was carried out on 52 adolescents from different regions of Chihuahua who had non-custodial sanction measures and the interview centers were located in the city of Chihuahua and Ciudad Juárez, during the period of April 1st to September 30th, 2019.
The criteria of the highly relevant questions of said parameter are scattered in the instrument and can be measurable, such as: the degree of impulsivity or impulse that adolescents have and in the area of substance use and abuse, which factors were amongst the most relevant for justice operators.
As part of the work carried out, it was highlighted that in 85% of adolescents their risk factors decreased in general terms of the 11 factors that were evaluated in the 2 applications.
It should be noted that what most caught the attention of the authorities who participated in the exercise in terms of results, was being able to have a value for each factor, which implies that the operator can channel activities, workshops and needs of minors highlighting individualized strategies.
During this presentation, the state director of JJAI, Carlos Chacón, the national director of projects of JJAI, Sarahi García and the executive director of JJAI, Douglas Keillor were present.
